Sonya’s Blog - Day 236 - February 13th - Cooking and Cleaning

We didn’t have big plans today. It was really nice outside, but incredibly windy. It was a good day to get all the laundry done, because I could hang it out to dry. If I was and dry in my combo unit that we have in the RV, it is a 4 hour job. If I just wash and hang to dry, then it is only 1/2 hour to 1 hour per load and I can get a lot more laundry done in one day. I also wanted to make some chili, so that we could freeze it for some ready made meals when we need them.

I did a lot of cooking, cleaning and laundry. Not the most exciting of days, but necessary. The boys had to get their hair cut, because it was getting a little out of control. They took off to get that done and pick up a few groceries.

I did manage to get on the beach for a walk with Kizmet and Blake later in the day, for a nice break. It was super windy though, which makes it not as enjoyable.

Natasha had rented Apollo 13 off of Itunes, because it was the only place we could find it. It took forever to download, but we finally got it. We decided that would be a good movie to watch after visiting the NASA Space Centre and reading about the mission.

After supper, we all sat down and watched it. It is amazing that they managed to get those astronauts home alive. So many things went wrong. Blake and I saw it years ago, but it was still really good the second time around. Crazy stuff, that going into space.
