Our final day in Orlando and our final day at Universal Studios. We got to the parks around 10:00am and it seemed as though this was going to be the least busy day yet. Our destination was the Universal Studios, Universal Studios park so that is where we headed. Our first stop, after the lockers, was the E.T. ride, where you fly to E.T’s home planet on the magical bikes so E.T. can use his magic touch to save his dying home. It’s pretty cute. Then we started towards Diagon Alley. On the way, we stopped to get a picture with the Mystery Inc. gang, sans the Scooby Doo. Daphne said she liked by dress and Shaggy became our new best friend when he heard we were heading for a sweet

shop. He followed up down the street for a bit. They were great. We did the Gringotts ride again, this time with Mum. She liked this one way better than the Hogwarts one, since the simulation isn’t as violent. We walked around Diagon Alley for a bit after the ride before the parents went to grab the lunch kit and Isaac and I made our way slowly over to the Fear Factor show. We arrived just in time to see the first event : five contestants doing an endurance hang while high powered fans blew in their faces. There, the first contestant was eliminated. While they got set up for the next event, a lady sat up front with her

head in a box and had five scorpions placed on her head. No thanks. I would have wanted snakes. The second event was a beanbag toss, where each person had to throw beanbags they got out of an eel tank into the bucket their partner was holding. Then, the partners switched positions and the people who were originally catching now had to throw rancid octopus into their partners buckets while swinging back and forth fifteen feet above the ground. Yum. The team who caught the least beanbags/octopi was eliminated, leaving only two. While the final round was prepared, two guys came down and had to drink a

smoothie of discarded meet from a hot dog factory, a mash of bugs, sour milk and a mixture of discarded parts of seafood such as fish heads and tails. One of the guys actually drank it. Yeah, I think not. The last part was an obstacle course and I can’t even remember what they had to do because there were so many things. After that we headed over to the Terminator show, which is pretty neat. It’s based on the second movie (I think) and it starts with you in the Cyberdyne Systems headquarters where they’re telling you about the latest in technology; Skynet. But

then, of course there’s a time warp and Arnold’s there and stuff. It’s pretty neat how they do it, because sometimes they have people out on stage, dressed like the real actors are in the movie, but they’re kept in the dark so you can’t see their faces. Then they have scenes where it looks like they’re jumping in and out of the screens. It’s quite clever. After that, we attended out third and final show, the Horror Movie Makeup Show. It’s basically done by a couple of makeup artists who explain some of

the techniques used in movies when applying makeup. Some of the stuff was really cool. Then the boys and I headed out to do Transformers and the Minions ride, which Mum can’t do because they’re both simulation. I’m not a huge fan of the minions themselves but I do like the Despicable Me movies so the ride was all right. Since Mum and Dad hadn’t done it, we went on Shrek yet again before wandering back over to Diagon Alley for

one last ride in Gringotts. We also stopped at the Leaky Cauldron for a bite to eat. Mum ordered a toad-in-the-hole, English bangers baked in Yorkshire pudding, and I got a potted Butterbeer cream. it was pretty good, like a Butterbeer pudding, but I prefer the liquid kind. Our last stop in Diagon Alley after the ride was Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes where I purchased a small pygmy puff keychain. My pygmy puff’s name is Frederick, he says hello. The last ride we took (well, the boys and I), was the Rip Ride Rocket, a really quite ridiculous rollercoaster that spans almost an entire side of the park. In line, we met some girls who are in the rodeo business and who go up to Calgary every year to ride at Spruce Meadows. They were fun to talk to. And thus ends the fabulous adventures of me at Universal Studios. I will be back… someday. Peace out m8s.
