We drove the hour up to Jacksonville today, just to check it out and see what it was all about. We parked at the riverwalk on the Jacksonville side of the St. John’s River. San Marco is on the other. The riverwalk is not very long and is mostly lined with restaurants. We also walked past a Puerto Rican festival where they had a street show going on and lots of different booths selling food and small items. It looked really neat but us white frenchies can’t understand rapid-fire Spanish so we decided not to make fools of ourselves. There were a few plaques along the walk, talking about the history of the river and the city, that we read. Eventually we ended up under a bridge with nothing of interest in front of us so we turned back. We found a place to eat near where we started, an Irish pub called McCools. Kizzy was aloud inside the sheltered patio and she was very calm the whole time. I

ordered some Buffalo french fries and a salad for my meal. The whole thing was really good. I quite like pubs, they’re fun. After we walked Kizzy a little bit more we hopped back in the truck and drove over the bridge to San Marco. It wasn’t the most interesting city, so we drove back to the trailer instead where I set up the newest episode of Sherlock, the Abominable Bride, which was released yesterday. Honestly, Episode IIV of Star Wars happened before episode 7 of Sherlock. It’s painful. I got it going but the website got all jammed up half an hour into it so we had to call it a night. What I saw so far looks incredible though. Benedict’s acting skills never cease to amaze me, Martin was as sassy as always and it looks as though Mark Gatiss ate a little bit too much cake after series three ended. Peace out m8s.
