Christmas Day

Merry Christmas to my friends an family! And a special Happy Holidays to all of the great folks at Husky Sunrise!

The Reid Family has had a wonderful Christmas Day out here in Savannah, Georgia. The kids woke up at about 8 o'clock to find that there was a nice pile of presents under the tree and stockings (actually, a pair of Sonya's thick, winter socks) filled with candies on the couch.

While the kids opened their stockings, I made eggs Florentine for Christmas breakfast. After we were all fed, we sat around the tree and spent a good portion of the morning opening presents. The kids received a few games, toys, books, and some clothes. I got three new hoodies, which is great since the ones that I own are getting a bit threadbare. Not that I need to wear a hoodie at the moment. The weather has been warmer than usual for Savannah at this time of year. Add some rain and plenty of humidity and all I have been wearing are shorts and t-shirts.

Starting later morning and running into the afternoon, we got in touch with family to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and find out what they were doing for the holiday season.

Isaac and I had to test out his new XBox game, Batman Arkham City. It is pretty cool. Some time and a couple of Kizzy walks later, supper was ready. Sonya made a wonderful Christmas feast with Turkey, stuffing, potatoes, beans, and cranberry sauce. Deeeeeeelicious! We were too stuffed for sweet potato pie. Ah well, guess we'll have pie tomorrow. That's rough.

In the evening, we watched a family movie, The Santa Clause 2. Not a classic like A Christmas Carol nor as funny as Christmas Vacation, both of which we had watched on previous nights, but a good family-friendly flick.

Have a Happy New Year and all the best in 2016!
