Sonya’s Blog - Day 178 - December 17th - Not much
First thing Blake and I took Kizmet to the dog run for her walk. We snapped a picture of her with the Alligator Warning sign.

She had a good walk and played with a few of the dogs. The kids stayed back the RV and did their school work.
It was supposed to rain on and off today so we had not scheduled anything to do. The kids had schooling to catch up on and I had cleaning that needed to be done.
For a break in the afternoon Blake and the kids decided to check out the frisbee golf course. They didn’t last long because the mosquitoes were so bad in the trees. There are a few mosquitoes around the campground, but nothing major so we didn’t think anything of it. Once in the trees though, I guess they were unbearable. I was glad I decided to stay back and have a cup of tea instead. I was making up worksheets for the kids on the Civil War and Slavery while I was drinking my tea. I couldn’t find anything online that worked for what I wanted. Everything was so specific, like what General fought this battle and detail his career during the Civil War. I was looking for more general questions, like when did the Civil War start and when did it end. Stuff like that, so I just did up my own worksheet. The kids are pretty excited about it, but it covers everything that we have learned while touring around the Charleston area.
It started to rain not long after that. We hung around for a little bit more and then decided to go to the mall and do a little bit of Christmas shopping. Tash and I went one way and Blake and Isaac went another way and we shopped for about an hour and a 1/2. We got most of our shopping done ,which was good. We don’t have much to buy, as we are just having a small Christmas with ourselves. We cannot really buy a lot as there is nowhere to put it.
We headed back to the RV for a late supper. Isaac wanted to watch a Christmas show and he settled on Mickey’s Twice Upon a Christmas. This was his favourite Christmas show when he was really little and he likes to watch it every year still.
After the movie we did some cleaning up and then called it a night. We head to Savannah tomorrow.
