Sonya’s Blog - Day 158 - November 27th - Cleaning and Organizing on Black Friday

Well, we need to clean up the trailer and get organized. Things have been strewn about and shoved back where they don’t belong for too long. Also, Isaac is looking for some books that we brought so we need to find those. We also need to make up beds for Suzanne and the kids so they have somewhere to sleep.

We all had our jobs to do and we set out to get it done. It took most of the morning, but I think we are in much better shape now. If the kids continue to put their things away where they belong, their room might stay in better shape. I found the books Isaac was looking for, he has a couple on how to make paper airplanes. He needs to make some for one of his Science lessons, so now we have those. I also found his Space books and one on trees, which he also needs for Science.

Everything was done just after lunch and then Blake and the kids headed out to brave Black Friday. They want to buy a new laptop because just having one is not cutting it, the kids both need it for school and are always arguing over whose turn it is. I stayed back as I don’t love crowds in shopping areas. I took Kizmet for a walk instead and posted my blog for yesterday.

The kids came back with their brand new laptop. They got a good deal on an HP laptop, so hopefully they will both be able to work out who will get which computer and when. Natasha is pretty sure it is going to come in handy for her school work next year when she enters High School, so that will be good.

Not long after that, Suzanne showed up and it was pandemonium. The kids were tired, but excited to be here and the noise level jumped up with all the excitement. The kids got busy making a mess and I attempted to make some supper.

After supper, the little ones chose where they would be sleeping. Claire will sleep on the floor tonight in the little bed we made up. Kate will get the lower bunk below Isaac and Suzanne and Simon will sleep on the pull out couch. It’s a lot of people, even for our big trailer, but we will make it work. Kizmet won’t be able to roam about, but will have to sleep with us tonight. She tends to get hot, so likes to roam from our room to the living room depending on how hot she is. It is cooler at night now, so she should be okay.
