Sonya’s Blog - Day 133 - November 2nd - Just Hanging Out

Claire and Kate both had school today, so our kids got right to their schooling as well. Suzanne is spending a lot of time with our kids on their schooling, since she did up a program for them. As a result, I spent a lot of time with Simon (it was tough for me). We played with the trucks and with his new Avenger Characters. There was a lot of smashing and vrooming going on.

Blake and I took the dogs out for a walk and Simon wanted to come as well. So he ran and played in the leaves and helped walk the dogs up and down the street. It is going to be another beautiful day in Pittsburgh, with a high of 20 expected today.

Kate’s school is done at Noon (she is only 3 after all). We had lunch when she got home and then decided to head out for a walk down Walnut Street. Walnut Street has many trendy shops on it and is fun to walk up and down. Natasha wanted to look for some new jeans, as she is down to two pairs. I wouldn’t mind getting one more pair of jeans for Isaac. Blake wanted to get a latte as he is going into withdrawal without his Espresso Machine. Natasha had no luck finding new jeans, but I did find a pair for Isaac. We got our coffee’s, the boys made haircut appointments for tomorrow and Suzanne made it to the bakery. Kate and Simon had fallen asleep in the stroller by this time, so we headed back to the house. We just went into the backyard when we got back, so they could continue to nap. Blake helped Suzanne with the yard work until it was time to leave to get Claire from school. We decided to go to the local Farmer’s Market at the same time, so we headed off with Kate and our kids to go to that.

The Farmer’s Market was really good, lots of local produce. We picked up some veggies and some local cheese and then headed off to meet Suzanne at Claire’s gymnastics class. We dropped off Kate and our kids to watch Claire at her gymnastics, but we could not find parking in the tiny lot for our truck. Blake and I headed back to the house. When we got back, all the doors were locked. Blake continued with his raking and yard work until Suzanne got back with all the kids.

It was Isaac’s turn to help with supper tonight. He made the coleslaw (with help) and a cheese and cracker plate. We also had some beef and some green beans, but Isaac didn’t help with those, that was all Suz. I was on Simon duty again, it is a recurring theme, mostly because I steal him and go to the toy room so he is not in the way. Plus it works out really well for me and we are great buds.

Supper was really good and Isaac was really proud of his cheese plate creation, which was super tasty.

Suzanne played Trouble with Kate and Claire, Simon just wanted to roll the dice. Auntie Sonya to the rescue to take Simon up to the toy room and watch monster truck videos.
