Sonya’s Blog - Day 132 - November 1st - All Saints Day
Blake and the kids are going to a Steelers game with Uncle Adam. I am going to stay back at the house with Suzanne and her little ones. Everyone is a little tired today and suffering from major sugar crashes after yesterday.
We were a little slow to get going this morning. The game was at 1 PM, but they all left at 10:30 to make sure they could get parking and also to check out the tailgating parties. It was going to be a nice day, with a high of 18 or so expected. A really nice day to watch some football.

I decided to get caught up on my blog posting and take it easy. I am supposed to elevate my legs and take it easy, while also making sure I move every hour or so to keep the blood flowing. I went upstairs and got everything posted that I had already written.
I then took the dogs for a little walk. Little Simon wanted to hang out with me and look at trucks. He is a little obsessed with trucks and yesterday I showed him some google images on my phone. So he toddled up to me and said “more truck?” and he is just so darn cute, who can resist. So we looked at more google images of trucks. Then I found a video for kids on Monster Trucks and he is in awe of those trucks. Now he asks for more monster trucks. What a cutie.
When Simon went for a nap, I was able to finish the rest of my blogs and get completely caught up. Now I just need to get the kids to get caught up and maybe we won’t fall so far behind again. We can only hope.
It has been a challenging day with the little girls. Kate and Claire have been some fussy today, with many meltdowns and fussy periods. Suzanne and I decided to take the kids and the dogs out for a walk once Simon had woken up. Suzanne had supper all prepared and ready to go in the oven, but needed to go to the library to return some books. It is a good walk to the library, so off we went. Kate and Simon were very happy to be outside and moving, but it took Claire a few blocks to warm up to the whole walking thing. Soon everyone was much happier and it was an absolutely beautiful afternoon to be outside. We all had a good walk and everyone was in a much better mood when we got back home.
Blake and the gang got back from the Steelers game and were ready for supper. The Steelers were leading the whole game and then fell apart in the last 4 minutes and ended up losing:(

Suzanne made a lovely Chicken Pot Pie and everyone enjoyed their supper. Isaac did the flower arrangement in this photo. We all watched “It’s The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown” after supper and then the little ones went to bed. While Suzanne and Adam put the little ones to bed, we all watched an episode of The Flash. Our kids then went to bed and Blake and I played the game Sequence with Suz and Adam.
