The Time Of The Spooky Has Come

Happy Halloween, spooky day had come. All the spooky yeah, throw it around. Spooky spooky spooky spooky. Pumpkins, ghosts and vampires, hell yeah. Let’s do this thing. Halloween also so happens to be my cousin Simon’s birthday and he turned two today. Dad had to go to Costco this morning to see if he could get his tire changed, but unfortunately they didn’t have the size he needed. I did get the tie I needed at Macy’s however, so that was nice. Uncle Adam also bought Dad and I a piece of Costco pizza, so we were all enjoying ourselves. When we got back, the others had gone up to Chatham University since they were having a little Halloween party and we were going to go join them, but Dad and Uncle Adam got distracted by Parks and Rec, so others got back before we left. Dad and I went over anyway, because I wanted some cotton

candy. It looked like a fun party, they had a couple of bouncy houses, some craft tables, food tables and fundraiser tables for the university students. We looked around a bit before heading back to the house where preparations for Simon’s birthday party were underway. I helped Auntie Suz make some snacks in the kitchen and set out the table and the games before going upstairs to change into my party costume. I decided to wear Auntie Suz’s Red Riding Hood costume at the party, because more people would understand who I was. The party was really noisy and there were a lot of kids. We mostly just left them to their own devices though, while the adults talked to each other and I kind of awkwardly sat in a corner and occasionally ate something or said something. It was fun for the little one’s though. After everyone had left, we started to get ready to go out trick or treating.

Halloween is very regulated in the States, which is lame, but that’s the States for you. In this particular area of Pittsburgh, the trick or treating hours are set at 5:30 to 7:30. A yes, such Halloween fulfillment. It was fun though, certainly not the same thing as going out with my friends, but I don’t think I would have been allowed to go out with my friends this year since Mum thinks I’m too old. The only reason she really let me go out was because I have little cousins. There were some fun houses, especially the couple that was doing a build your own s’mores. It also helped that they understood the term fandom and they kind of knew what I was talking about when I explained my costume. Since I haven’t mentioned it yet, I was the Angel Castiel, from the show Supernatural, an angel in a trench coat and a blue tie. Throughout the night, I had a total of one person recognize my costume, which is actually a pretty good accomplishment. There was also cute boy at one house, so that was also good. I got enough candy for me this year, since I’m not doing gymnastics, so I won’t work it off nearly as fast. When we got back, Dad and Uncle Adam ran out to pick up some noodle bowls from Noodlehead. It was too spicy for Mum and Auntie Suz, but I liked it. The one I ordered wasn’t the greatest, but I got to finish Auntie Suz’s, which was delicious. After all the kids went to bed, Dad and I watched the first episode of American Horror Story. It’s pretty fricken awesome, in a really twisted way, but I think it creeped Dad out a bit much. Peace out m8s.
