A Legend In Sleepy Hollow

I still do not have a complete Halloween costume, so the plan was that my parents would take me out to a Walmart or such to find what I need. However, that didn’t happen since Mum’s calf has swollen up and it hurts, so Dad’s going to take her to the doctors office to make sure it isn’t a major blood clot. This morning, we tried to go and see Claire’s school’s Halloween parade, but I was slow and we ended up only seeing the end of it unfortunately. Instead, we went for a walk in Frick Park, which is really heavily wooded and very pretty, especially at this time of year. We turned around when it was almost time to pick up Claire from school. Auntie Suz went to pick her up while the rest of us headed over to a nearby café for a snack and a drink. Auntie Suz brought Claire back, but hadn’t been there for long before she had to run over and pick up Kate. In the end, we all got to sit around and talk, so it was good. It was almost time for

Mum’s doctor appointment when we got back to the house, so my parents set out while Isaac and I stayed behind and did some work. At this point, it still seemed as though I would be able to go shopping but then a metal bar sticking out of the curb blew one of the trucks tires. Auntie Suz ended up taking me instead. We went to Target and I looked around for what I needed with Claire while the others were doing other things. I bought most of my costume, but couldn’t find the colour of tie I needed. I was really very tempted to buy a hair dye again, but I settled for just the hair gel and the white shirt. I started to help with dinner back at the house and we were halfway done before my parents got back. It turns out it’s a minor clot in a capillary, so not life threatening, which is wonderful. After dinner, Auntie Suz logged herself in to the Playbook app, which I downloaded onto my iPad, so now I can read all the online books she downloads. Score. Dad and I were supposed to go to a haunted corn maze thing tonight, but Dad wasn’t feeling well so we stayed in and watched Sleepy Hallow with Johnny Depp instead. Who knew that Christopher Walken once filed his teeth and lost his head? Peace out m8s.
