Our fist day in Maine and Canadian Thanksgiving started out rather uneventfully.

Isaac and I did a whole bunch of school work whilst the parental units ran lots of errands and got their phones set up with an American plan. Once they got back it was time for lunch and then we did a bit more work before getting ready to go to the beach. Old Orchard Beach to be exact. It turned out that the beach allowed dogs, so we ran Kizzy along the water and learned that

she likes to play fetch with frisbees. Along the way, she met some new dog friends and Mum and Dad had a conversation with a guy who had just moved to town. We walked down the beach until we got to the pier, by which point the wind was

quite chilly and my legs were numb, so we ascended into town. There’s a rather large amusement park right off the beach next to the pier, which is a very cute vacation area. Because the summer season was over, there weren’t very many people around and the amusement park was closed but the shops were still open and Dad bought some deep fried Oreos for him and us children. They are quite scrumptious. Along the walk back, Mum wanted to get some pictures with the cottages and the changing leaves. Kizzy was being awful and she wouldn’t look at the camera, so that was a bit of a hassle. Back at the trailer for dinner, Mum cooked up some cranberry sauce, Caprese salad and green beans with turkey breasts for our Thanksgiving dinner. It was also quite scrumptious. Then we sat around the fire for a while before going in and watching our evening special of Corner Gas. Peace out m8s.
