Isaac's Grand Birthday

Happy birthday Isaac! The first of five birthdays to celebrate this year. I kicked off the morning by being woken up way too early since Isaac wanted to get up at the time of his birth, 7:10am, and set an alarm for it. So a 7:00am wake up for me, that was great, and then I didn’t get a chance to back to sleep since Isaac gets really loud when he’s excited, which was ever better. I ended up getting out of bed to set the table for breakfast since Dad was making crepes. Then we all sat around while Isaac opened his presents. He got X-Wing, the first volume of the comic series Injustice, a new phone charger, an expansion pack for X-Wing, two big bags of M&M trail mix, new headphones and a couple of cards. After a delicious breakfast, I set myself up on the couch in my room and read for a while. My goal was to finish my book by the end of the day. At quarter to 11:00am, we set out to go bowling for a couple of hours before coming

back for a lunch of homemade cheese pizza’s on wraps and then going right back out to the Cineplex to see the Scorch Trials. Okay, if you were watching the movie and had never read the books, or weren’t comparing it to the book, you might have thought it was pretty good. In my professional opinion however, the Scorch Trial is the absolute worst book to movie adaptation I have ever seen. Like, they got absolutely zero things right, except names. It topped the Percy Jackson movie. Shout out to the director Wes Ball for disappointing the entire Maze Runner fandom. We all would like to punch you in the face. Congrats. After the movie was finished disappointing my expectations, we went back to the trailer for dinner. Isaac had decided on ribs and potatoes for his special meal and it was quite delicious. Kizzy was quite sad that she didn’t get any of that yummy smelling stuff. Then we watched a couple episodes of Corner Gas before calling it a day. Peace out m8s.
