Sonya's Blog - Day 107 - October 7th - Traveling to Moncton, New Brunswick

We have to leave today and get to New Brunswick in order for us to get to Maine. We could take the ferry from Yarmouth to Bar Harbour, but it is really pricey with our RV as they charge by foot when you are towing. So we will drive. This works out better because I really want to see Hopewell Rocks in the Bay of Fundy and that is only about 1/2 hour from Moncton.

We got up and started to prep the trailer for traveling. When everyone was up at the house we popped over and had breakfast. After breakfast Michel went out to help Blake put the bikes back on the back. The bike rack was falling off again, so first they had to fix it up. That took a little bit of time, but it needed to be done. Once everything was ready, we said our good-byes and got on the highway. Pulling out was much easier than pulling in and we didn't have to hold up traffic at all! That was a bonus.

The drive was going to be long and not very exciting. The kids got out their school work and got to work. I worked with Isaac on his grammar and English.

After many hours of driving we finally reached our campsite, Campers City in Moncton. It was a very basic campsite, but it was clean and really cheap (only $35 per night) so that was a huge bonus. Set-up was really easy and then we just made supper and hung out at the campsite. There is no wifi, so that is no good. I was hoping to get the rest of my blogs posted. Ahh well, tis the way it goes.

Tomorrow we are going to Hopewell Rocks and I am really excited about it. It is the one place I really wanted to go while we were in New Brunswick. Highest Tides in the World!!
