Sonya’s Blog - Day 96 - September 26th - Hanging out in New Glasgow

Today was just a hanging out day and catching up on what had happened in the last couple of weeks for us and in New Glasgow. We were going to be joined later in the day by Aunt Theresa’s and Uncle Fred’s kids, Linda and her family and Derek.

Kizmet was given lots of walks and love today. Isaac gave Uncle Fred his puzzle and they disappeared downstairs for a bit and started working on it. Natasha caught up on some homework. We also did lots of visiting.

Later in the day Derek showed up and we got to chatting with him. We haven’t seen Derek since Blake and I came to Nova Scotia the year we got married (1998), so it had been a long time. He was good about asking the kids about the trip so far and what they have learned. A little while later his sister, Linda showed up with her husband, Brian and their daughter Courtney and her son, Cayden. Cayden just turned one, but was super shy with the big crowd. We had a nice visit with everyone and Aunt Theresa made a really good supper.

After supper Uncle Fred started a fire and we all went outside to enjoy the fire and visit some more. It was great seeing everyone again and meeting young Cayden.
