Sonya’s Blog - Day 76 - September 6th - Lunch on Victoria Street

Today we were totally on “Island Time” and we drank a ton of tea. We visited and goofed around for the morning. The tide goes way out so Blake and I were down there exploring and seeing what we could find. There are tons of mussel, clam, quayhog and other shells all over the place. There were some people digging for mollusks, but we were just curious. Kizmet loves the ocean and cannot get enough of running around, picking up shells out of the water and chasing birds.

Sir John A. and I having a nice chat:

We decided we should do something today so we headed into Charlottetown to check out Victoria Street and find somewhere to have lunch. Victoria street has a one block stretch that is cobblestone and pedestrian only with some shops and restaurants along it. We thought we would try there first. We found a nice little restaurant with a patio called the Lobster Co. or something like that. They had lots of lobster on the menu. I chose the Lobster Risotto Cakes and so did Uncle Fred, Natasha had a lobster roll and so did Blake and Isaac and Aunt Theresa had the fish and chips. The food was really good and we all enjoyed our lunch. We walked up and down Queen Street a bit, Isaac wanted to go to the Comic Book store and right next door to that were 2 different books stores, which Natasha wanted to visit.

We then headed back to the RV to visit some more and hang out. Blake headed out on the floaty with Isaac. From the sound of their girly screams the water was a little chilly. We set up the lawn chairs overlooking the water so we could watch them out in the water. Kizmet ran up and down the beach and in and out of the water and was basically a nut.

We then had some supper. We had some frozen Baton Rouge Ribs and some steaks with mashed PEI potatoes and salad. It was yummy. I cleaned up again and Blake started a fire and we hung out around the fire and roasted marshmallows. It was a nice relaxing day in PEI.
