Today was another visiting day, this time with old family friends, Betty and Bob, who live out in the country in a house they built themselves, so we had a bit of a shorter day in town today. We stopped at a mall area and went over to a café so the parents could use the wifi and book some more campgrounds out east. We were there for about an hour, just sitting at the table, before we got back up and out. on the street outside, they were setting up for a sort of festival, but none of the stalls were open yet, so we didn’t bother waiting. Instead, we went over to McGill University to check out the downtown grounds, because I might want to go there when I’m older. The grounds weren’t actually all that nice or well kept, but the buildings were quite pretty, and it’s a really good university after all. We didn’t stay at the university for very long, just enough time to get a feel for the place, before starting back towards the Bell Centre. We stopped at another café for lunch along the way and we stayed there for a really long time. We got even more campgrounds booked and more days planned. Well, the adults did, I had a nap. Our plan was to take the 3:40pm train back to the trailer, but we got to the train station much too early and ended up having an hour and a bit to spare. We went over to the box office to buy some tickets to the Marvel Universe and then got back up to the Habs gift shop to buy some souvenirs. I bought a snapback hat. We still had some time to spare, so we went back out to try and find a Starbucks to waste some time. As it turned out, the Starbucks we were searching for ended up being underground, so that didn’t work out so well for us, since we were at street level. We ended up wasting time, just in a not enjoyable way. We just headed back up to the station to sit on the train and wait for it to leave. When we got back to the trailer, we were in a bit of rush so we just grabbed the Kizmet and headed over to Betty and Bob’s. Their place was really nice, with a huge backyard that the dog loved. Dinner was delicious, especially the potatoes and the desserts. Isaac and Bob got along quite well, and Bob thought him all about electricity and wiring and such. It was fun to meet a childhood friend of Grandma’s anyways. Peace out m8s.
