I Purchase A Fedora At Last

We took the train into town again today so we could head down to the Vieux Port. We managed to get there on time once again. On the way to the port, we decided to head to Chinatown to look around the area, which just so happens to be the most multicultural area in all of Montreal. We stopped at a Chinese restaurant for lunch and I got some noodles, which were delicious and gingery. We kept walking down the street for a while and headed into different stores and such. We also bought a few more food items. The first one was this gooey rice ball thing filled with coconut, which I though was fabulous. The second was these things called dragon beard candies, which was basically a whole bunch of filaments wrapped around a sort of nut powder, which exploded if you bit into them, so you had to pop the whole thing in your mouth at one time. Just as we headed out of Chinatown, Isaac realized he’d forgotten his hat at the restaurant, so the boys went back up the hill while Mum and I got down to the port, so I could go to the washroom. The Vieux Port is right near Vieux Montréal, but it’s a lot more touristy, complete with zip-line, zombie house and pirate ship jungle gym. They still had some cool stalls though, and I bought a brown fedora with a black ribbon at one of them. We didn’t stay long, as we were all pretty tired. We went back the way we had come, stopping at a crêperie on the way for some delicious crêpes and gelato, and then back through Vieux Montréal, but a different way then before and we came across the old courthouse, which had some very beautiful architecture. We had some excellent timing with the train once again and headed back home to spend the rest of the night in. Peace out m8s.
