Three Hour Tour

Into the city we go. We only had the one thing planned - a three hour tour starting at 1:30pm - so we decided we didn’t really have to leave all that early. We kind of chilled out for a bit at the trailer, ate breakfast, read, walked the dog. We ended up leaving at noon, but, as is our family’s tradition, we didn’t exactly leave ourselves enough time. We ended up only having twenty minutes to eat before our tour, so we stopped at a salad place across the street from the clock tower, which was the meeting place for Untapped Tours. I got a Cobb salad wrap, and I was the only one who had finished before we had to go. The other three could eat on the bus though. The tour was fun. We started off by taking a picture with the statue of the Fonz from Happy Days whilst our tour guide got the van bus thing. We actually got off as a group in multiple places because there was only eleven of us. We saw some architecture my Frank Lloyd Wright, distinguished by the flat roof and absence of front door. The first stop was at a public park, where we walked past a

lighthouse and watched a bit of the air show happening above us. The second stop was at an art museum, which had a really cool design and was right on the lake front, with a giant window in the back looking over the water. There was a wedding reception set up inside and three brides outside taking wedding photos. It was kind of intense like a weddingpocolypse. The second to last stop was at a cheese factory, where we got to sample different types of cheese, jam and granola. It was quite scrumptious. Mum and Dad bought some merchandise for us. The last stop of the day was at a classic Wisconsin brewery. The main area was packed. Since we were with the tour, we were entitled to one free sample each, before we joined up with a tour. Apparently minors can drink beer in the state of Wisconsin if given permission from their parent or guardian. I swear to god Mum just about peed she was so surprised. Alas, us children did not get a beer, not that I wanted one because beer is disgusting, but we got maple root beer instead. The tour was hilarious. The guy was a lot like Bumper from Pitch Perfect, and if you don’t understand my reference, well, we are gonna have some

issue my dearest friend. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to stay for the whole tour, because we were on a schedule with the rest of the people, but I did learn that apparently women invented beer. Haha suckers. Each person was entitled to a free a)pint glass or b)key chain at the gift store, and I chose the key chain, which turned out to be a bottle opener. Shocker. We then got dropped off back at the clock tower where we started and walked back to our truck. Once we got there, Dad realized the guide had forgotten to give us the tickets to the Harley Davidson museum we’d paid for, so then there was a big fiasco with phone calling and Mum freaking out for some reason. We eventually got it all sorted out (well I read the others got it sorted out) and we were on our way home. Thus ends our first of two days in Milwaukee. Peace out m8s.
